ProxiScreen digital signage works well on BrightSign Series-3 and Series-4 media players.

In fact, when using either the built-in BrightBeacon Bluetooth module or a Bluetooth USB dongle on the media player, we can create a direct peer-to-peer 2-way connection between a nearby smartphone and the media player.

Coupled with A/V playback from a local memory card slotted into the player, this provides full ProxiScreen interactive digital signage capability even when the media player is operating standalone, without a network connection!
